Who is the candidate, Gary Cutler?
A native Texan, I was raised in the small community of Hutchins and remain a lifelong Texan. After graduating from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice, I settled in Austin where I met my wife Carol. I am proud to say she has been my partner for 35 years. Believing in the values of small town living, Carol and I moved to Buda with our two boys in 1987. Both boys are graduates of Hays High School and went on to receive advanced degrees from Texas Tech University.
We currently reside in Driftwood and continue to love the peace and quiet of the country.
My life has been devoted to law enforcement in the central Texas area spending over twenty-six years with the Travis County Sheriffs Office, 3 years with the Williamson County Sheriffs Office, and currently over 6 years as a state police officer with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. My career has been both exciting and rewarding. I am looking forward to applying my experience and knowledge to keeping Hays County a safe place to live.
